## How the calculator works

The D.C. commemorative issue has a fixed denomination of one. Enter the purchase cost in dollars and a whole number of notes. When the Goldbacks do not fully cover the cost, the unpaid balance is labeled amount still owed. When their value is greater than the cost, the difference is labeled change due.
